Centre of Exchange and Research in Volcanology

Student Projects

The Centre of Exchange and Research in Volcanology offers the opportunity for students to carry out projects. Some students have come to Colima to work on either their masters or degree thesis. Examples of their projects have covered lahar deposits, ash leachates and thermal characteristics of the eruption column. A probability tree for risk assessment was created, whilst another project investigated the impact that the volcano has on the population.
