Geochemical Monitoring (Thermal emission)

Version española Versión española

A new technique was introduced during 2004-5. Two types of sensors are being used:

  1. Infrared camera - thermography, which produces a calibrated image of the thermal emission of a body.
  2. Radiometers - integrate the total temperature within their field-of-view.

Initially a camera lent by the Instituto de Geofísica, UNAM by Servando de la Cruz was used for thermal imaging. From January 2006 a new camera has been used.
